Oh wow, I'm so attached to this little cutie (and his parents are pretty awesome too). We totally bonded, and by the end, he was grabbing my hand to walk me out of the field we were shooting in and crying that I had to go. It doesn't get any sweeter than that! Not that it didn't take him a few minutes to warm up to me. When we first started talking, he took off like a shot to his bedroom. I, of course, followed -- camera in hand -- and found him sitting right in the center of his circle rug. Adorable! I have to admit, some of my favorite photos are pouting kid shots. That's kids for you: a whole spectrum of emotion in a matter of minutes.
Check out those gorgeous lashes!
I told him I have matching shoes...and I wasn't lying. I have a pair of these in black. Yes, I own velcro shoes. Maybe that's why I love working with kids so much. We wear the same clothes.
The Caddy wasn't quite in the plans, but when he jumped in and almost reversed into me (thanks to his dad for the warning), I couldn't stop laughing that he was driving his own little car around the yard. How awesome is that?! And I just love how happy he was. Boys and their cars.
Perhaps my favorite shot of the day:
